Degree modifications
You can add/remove degrees, or change the alteration of degrees from the “normal” quality of the chord you chose. You can also add a suspended (like sus2 or sus4) in the chord.
Adding a degree
Just type the number and the alteration of the degree you want to add, separated by commas.
Example: 9,#13
Changing a degree alteration
Just type the number of the degree you want to change, with the alteration: # or b.
Example: b9#11
Removing a degree
Type no
or omit
, then the number of the degree you want to remove.
Example: no3
, or omit9
Suspended 2nd or 4th
Type sus4
, sus2
or sus24
.
Suspended 2nd means that we remove the 3rd degree, and replace it with a 2nd degree.
Bass inversion
When you have a bass inversion, you can write the pitch name of the bass.
