https://flat.io/score/5e2204e3671fba3e03ce3e1e-piano-sonata-no-4-in-g This movement is written in Sonata-Allegro form, as traditional of the first movement of a sonata. The first theme is played in the home key of G major, then the second theme is played in the new key of D major, and a codetta brings the music back to G with a variation of part of the first theme, creating a rounded binary exposition, which is then repeated.this is repeated. After the exposition repeat, the peice moves into g minor to begin the development, which is mostly based off of theme 1, before modulating back into G major and the recapitulation brings back both themes, in reverse order this time(this is the primary difference from traditional sonata form; typically the themes are heard in their original order, whereas here, they are reversed), and both in G major, before a short coda concludes the movement. Enjoy!
