I made this song in honor of the students and teachers that have lost their life due to gun violence in their school. It seems only fair to pay my respects, and this is one of the best ways I know how.
Despite the song being 48 measures long, due to the slow temp (78 bpm to the quarter) and the fact that there are 3 repeats, this song clocks in at approximately 3:23 if taken at performance tempo.
This song starts off in G Major, then modulates to C major near the end of the piece. There are many chords shown off throughout, such as G major, A major, B major, A minor, and E minor. I tried to make the chords unusual for a piece in G and C, so there may be chords in weird places.
I hope you enjoy listening to this piece, The name comes from the idea of dying in someone's arms. I think it's rather somber, which is appropriate for what this piece is conveying.
