For my final project, I chose the most important thing in my life to be my inspiration: my mom. My mom has been a huge part of my life for well, my entire life. She has worked incredibly hard to make money and support my dad in his dream of starting a business. This means she makes virtually all of the house’s money, and she puts everything she has into it. My mom is a nurse, which has always been useful throughout my life whether that meant having a medical bandage when I got a serious cut or other injury, or if it was just having some medical advice when I was scared or sick. I have always appreciated my mom immensely, though it was just recently I have learned to really show it. The reason for that is because I have a santa sized list of mental illnesses that my mom has taught me how to cope with. She always tried to put herself in my shoes and to try to understand the way I saw the world, and in some cases, why I might’ve made such a stupid decision. She is the reason I can fit into society even a little, and without her, I would be lost. However, with the coronavirus outbreak, my view of her has changed. I now realise just how much harder she is willing to and is now fighting to protect and provide for her family. Like I previously stated, she is a nurse; this means she is putting her life on the line and using the minimal supplies she has to help others and provide for us. She is an incredibly strong human being who has gone through a lot, and in this piece I try to portray that. I tried to convey her falling down and getting back up stronger each time, because that is what she does. With the way the current administration has handled this epidemic, she is scared for her life because she has very few masks and gloves at work to deal with the large number of patients who may have the virus. She is putting her life on the line for others, and she truly is not credited for what she does nearly enough. My mom is a hero who I and many others would be lost without.
