Recently, writing fairy tales has become very popular on flat. I saw Yoni's first, then I saw Groovy's fairy tale, and I thought to myself I should do one of those. Then I kinda forgot about it for a while, but Dominic Johnson's new fairy tale reminded me. At that point I decided to do my own. I know I'm not one of the most popular composers on flat, but I hope you enjoy.
In the year 1046, there was a small kingdom, known as Forshia. They lived for many years, happily closed off from the outer world. Little did they know, A tyrannical ruler, Garvlosh, was taking over kingdoms around the world. Soon, they were the only remaining civilization other than Venduun, Garvlosh's kingdom. They lived for many years, unaware that the world around them was in ruins.
One unsuspecting day, a skinny boy raced into their camp, fear raging in his large, bird-like eyes. He was enveloped in dirt, and his clothes were torn to shreds. The small kingdom of about 200 noticed this immediately. They rushed to him asking what the matter was, and what happened to him. As the crowd grew around him, his level of comfort dropped even lower. Finally, he spoke. "The world is in ruins. You're our only hope."
This unsettled everyone. They, being closed off from everything around them, were shocked. They first assumed that the boy was dehydrated, but as they talked more and more, and his story grew, they realized that this was for real. While this was happening, they didn't see Garvlosh's main general stalking them in the bushes. When the king discovered the news, he was outraged. All these years, he thought he had world domination, and even the smallest disturbance filled him with an indescribable anger. He ordered the kingdom to be raided and for everyone inside to be murdered.
The town was still frightened after their discovery, but they understood their responsibility. They had to take down an army of over 8 million with only 200, untrained civilians.
