WOO HOO! It's Fractured Brain here, and I got to write the description this time!
When Groovy and I started writing this piece, we decided that we never really wrote piano battles when we did our collabs. I mean, sure, they were crazy insane and exciting, but they were something quite... different. The question was: What the heck was it then, and what should we call it instead? And after like 5 minutes of brainstorming, the Piano Fusion was born. It's a sort of new writing style. It's kind of similar to a piano battle, except instead of composers taking turns and doing solos and crap, each person gets to have a melody while the other builds some crazy accompaniment. Then, one person has the job of creating the fusion melody, which is where... Actually, lemme demonstrate:
1. Me with the melody, Groovy with an accompaniment 2. Groovy with the melody, me with an accompaniment 3. The pattern repeats with the two melodies, getting more and more insane 4. We "fuse" the melodies together and have them play simultaneously 5. Groovy makes the first fusion melody and my treble clef harmonizes with that melody And then the next section happens pretty much the same way, except the order and roles are switched. The last section is the exception here, and it's just us going nuts with JAZZ (which was a lot of fun). I have two things to say here before I close out: One, that we invented new words during this collab.
Octavisize - add octaves to everything Tricklies - my treble clef 16th notes that "trickle down" Insanitize - make something insane, especially when doing so is not entirely necessary :)
Two, Groovy is gonna post every five days to finish his lit Magic Adventure story, and then he's gonna switch back to every 10 days.
