Hiya everyone! I only have like 3 things to say so I'll try to make this quick lol
So this is for randy dogger's (@randy.dog) competition. The theme was to make a tone poem with solo piano and I have to say, this was super fun to make. I definitely think I got out of my comfort zone a little more and *attempted* to just let loose. You all should check out the comp and maybe consider submitting something cause this was a really cool experience and I'd recommend it to anyone. I'll put a link to his score at the end of the desc.
So about this piece lol. I think the title sums it up quite well! It's about the mindset of a mother or any guardian that is going through multiple closets searching for the right belt to engage in violence. It's quite a frantic piece and I think it really sums up both the rapidly moving mindset of the guardian and the scared, trembling child waiting for their punishment. I decided against annotating this because I wanted to leave it up to the listeneres to determine what's happening but I will say that the very end is when the child's door is slammed open and the guardian comes in, holding the perfect belt. Don't look *too* deeply into this though, it was purely made for the comedies lmao
Furthermore, I feel like it's been a while since I published. Life has literally thrown itself in my face so I'm trying to deal with all of that and whatnot. I hope to still get pieces out to you guys in good time! I don't want to rush anything though so it may take a little time inbetween each release but I hope you all stick around!
I'm done babbling now lol, I know this was a shorter piece of mine but I still hope you all enjoy it!
