Oh, geez. It's been a while since "Musical Person" was released.
So remember how the subtitle on it was "Hey, I should make a musical outta this!"?
Well, looks like I unintentionally did that.
Anyway, this song... It's not really a sequel, I guess. However, I suppose it could be part of the soundtrack for this elusive "musical" that I'm writing.
By the way, the idea for this song actually came to me in a dream. The funny thing is, in the dream I was watching a YouTube video of Carl and Shaggy dancing the Macarena, and this song was playing over it. The lyrics were also different in the "original"- oh, very, very different. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember any of them when I woke up, but I remember rhyming "go" with "blow" and that the general concept was that the singer was telling the listener what NOT to do. I changed the concept and lyrics a little bit, and it turned into an inspirational melody about thoughtfulness. I actually think the message of this song is really important, too- sometimes it might feel like you're the only one in the world who's ever had problems and everyone else exists to mock you. But that's not true, is it? Other people are people, too, and they've all probably felt like that about you at one time or another, too. Shocking, right? Because you KNOW you've had problems, so how on earth could they think that you don't?
Hmm...
Well, enjoy this song. I thought it was nice- that's why I transcribed it. And if you haven't heard "Musical Person", Here's a link to it:
