An Intense Game of Chess

My muse has finally visited me. While I was moving a single note down in a separate piece, I heard a melody which I knew could be manipulated several ways so as to fill a decently-sized score of music, and I'm rather pleased with the result. When thinking of a title, "Chess" immediately popped into my head (though I do not know why). I hope you enjoy this as much I I enjoyed writing it.
