Hello, Red here. Sudden post now with a description!
This was an old (very old) project back from January of 2021 that we completed, and never published because we thought in our infinite wisdom we can complete more parts by then. Of course, we were wrong. Only now have I decided to put my foot down and to just get this damned thing posted so my profile has something for people to chew on, and the other two have too many posts for people to complain about. :P
Now to the piece itself. About a year ago, I made a little piano duo series called "A Proper Fairytale". Indeed, it was quite successful, so much so that The Grand Maestro wanted to Re-orchestrate the whole thing. I agreed, and eventually Groovy came on board to help. And so we made this, in this style meant to emulate what a real orchestra would do. It was quite some work, (and some lecturing from Jeff), but this piece I believe ended up beautifully. I won't say much else, as I'm moving, so don't expect to hear much from me for a few weeks! Now moving on to the other two for their piece!
Edit from the MAESTRO: Ok... so basically repeat all that, but i actually wanted to re-orchestrate Part 4 of his fairytale, then he convinced me to do the whole thing (sneaky bastard :P) but it turned out that planning something like this was really hard because 1.) at the time, i had a poopy computer and flat was slow af so getting anything done took WAY too long for me. 2.) i was also beginning to learn musescore at the time because I needed a bit more room to stretch my legs when composing. 3.) despite what red might tell you, i was the main orchestrator throughout this piece. I will NOT in anyway discredit the valuable help that Red and Groovy gave, but i was still very alone while orchestrating it because i am the only one of the three that really knew what they were doing in terms of "can a real orchestral play this?" All that combined basically burned me out. It was still a ton of fun to do! (out of characters) -GM
