Summer In The Meadow
Thank you to @..sacrilegious.. for this score!
The Summer in the Meadow
Was a very great day
There are so many reasons
Why I could talk in a bay!
No, I wouldn’t mind
The itchy, swaying grass
While my mind is still
In my homeroom class
The hale bales rolled
And the swings how they swung
The wind how it roared
And the bird, they just sung
The rocks, gleaming ever so beautifully
Under the sunny, windy, bay
For the inside of each rock heart,
Was a new way to play
You could skip rocks
Or even play “Horse”
But just keep in mind,
You gotta clean up the course!
Dilly-dallying
All morning, all night
Here in the valley
There are no fights!
Though this poem
Has no iambic pentameter,
You have to admit
It couldn’t be cleaner
Just like the meadow
On that sunny day
Love, hate, and summer
As it wisps away…
Get your jackets
Get your mittens
Get you gear
Or you’ll be frostbitten
