This composition took a really long time for me to complete because I hadn't been getting ideas as often as before. But I'm glad it's finally done, because I'm really excited to publish and show this to you guys after a long time. This song has 3 main parts, which I will explain below.
1st section: This part represents how life was like before Covid-19 came and affected us. At first, it has a joyful, lighthearted, and carefree mood. However, the good times get cut short. Schools and workplaces begin to close down. We have to stay inside as much as possible. All our plans for the year are overridden, and we can't see our friends. A disaster is setting in.
2nd section: This part represents how life was like during Covid-19 and its peak. People were dying like crazy all over the world, even in our own home country! We didn't even have a cure or vaccine to fight off the disease. All we could do was wait, and have hope, and try to stay safe. Usually, whenever there are holidays from work or school, we know a clear date of when we will return back to normal. But this time, it was different.
3rd section: This is when the doctors were finally able to create a vaccine. We finally had a way to stop and fight the disease, and it was working! Hope was being restored. And it will hopefully continue like this until we finally get rid of Covid-19 once and for all.
I want to thank Joshua Holmberg (
@joshua_holmberg) for giving me some useful feedback and encouragement to make my song better and finish it. He also made sure that it was playable, so if there are any pianists out there that want to play this, go ahead! I really hope you listen to and enjoy this song, and if you have any feedback, feel free to tell me.
One more thing. For the first section, I took some inspiration from a song called "Imagination Endures", by Finesden (
@finesden), so you can check that song out too if you want.
