Hey all, So this was something that I never thought I would finish honestly. I originally created this score back in December of 2020 and had a couple ideas but then none of them really went anywhere. I just kinda left this to rot and forgot about it but then I came back to it only last month and decided that I could try working on it again. My goal was to keep things as simple as possible while still maintaining a relatively interesting piece. I do believe this is playable but some of the parts would probably need quite good players because the range does seem to get weird lol. I have no idea for sure but I think this is like a grade 3-3.5 if you were wondering but honestly it gets that grading because of its musicality imo. This took some time to really form itself and I tried to experiment with different types of clashes so I hope it doesn't turn any of you away, I know not everyone likes clashing notes haha. Anyways, I really like how this turned out and I hope you all will enjoy it as well :)
I definitely had inspiration from a lot of really great concert band pieces that I’d totally recommend you all to listen to: Light and Gold: Lux Aurumque (Concert Band Version) - Eric Whitacre La Fiesta Mexicana (Mvt 2, "Mass”) - H. Owen Reed A Tallis Prelude - Douglas Akey
“Simplicity is the final achievement. After one has played a vast quantity of notes and more notes, it is simplicity that emerges as the crowning reward of art.” -Frédéric Chopin
