Everyone misinterprets
A math problem
A relationship
A gem
Whatever it is
We'll all miss it at some point

I misinterpreted you
What you did
How you let your emotions out
What made you proud
What saddened you
What made you bloom

I took it wrong
I defended myself
From what I thought to be bad
From what could've done good
I dodged it
I missed a chance

You may've done the same
But don't take the blame
We were little
Original selves still
Society couldn't help us yet
It couldn't shape us
We were a pair
A different one
