It's finally here--my one-year special. Wow. Can I just say--I can't believe it. It seems like just yesterday that I was googling "free online music software" and setting up an account. But here I am, one year later, with 74 followers (I know, it's not as many as some of you, but I'll take what I can get), 32 scores, and WAY more experience writing music than I had on April 2, 2020. So thanks to everyone who's ever listened, liked, or commented on my music. You've been a big part of my growth throughout this year.
Well, now I want to give some special thanks to some special people. First, Sawyer Tucker, my first follower: You've really helped me a lot. I'm not really good with stuff like this, but I appreciate you helping me when I was just a nobody putting stuff out there. Second, Shion Alvarado: I remember when I got a notification about collaborating with you for the "Star-Spangled Banner" cool version (that got taken down). It felt so good getting noticed by someone with premium. Third, Joseph Miller: You're a great (internet) friend and you've really helped me grow in music. I appreciate it! Fourth, Phoenix: You're a great (real) friend and I enjoy having you in band (even though I wish we had more trombones...). Anyway, keep up your playing and writing! Fifth, Emmy: Mostly, I just wanna thank you for being cool. You're always there ready to joke around and lighten the mood (even thought you're also really depressed, but I don't really know). Keep up the music writing, and remember: Gold is refined through fire. Sixth, Evalv: Thanks for hosting your #ecc2020 competition. I WON! Well, sorta. Anyway, it felt really good knowing that I was able to write well enough to win something.
To conclude, I want to thank everyone on Flat for being such a wonderful community for writing music. We've had arguments, but for the most part, we've settled them, and we've moved on. Here's to hoping that this next year will be even better!
