A Glimmer of Hope

This piece is inspired by the hope of having a future with my first girlfriend. We were naive and thought that despite being in a long-distance relationship, everything would work out somehow. Sadly it didn't work out and we're no longer together.

I intended this piece to be happy and serene, but my girlfriend said that it always sounds sad to her. I guess she knows the piece better than I did. I want to dedicate this piece to her.
