The situation is looking a little rough. The whole crew is stuck on an asteroid hurdling towards a nearby star and the valta is out of fuel. Xuan is reading the last chapter of her favorite book, Ren is packing up all of his supplies to be thrown into space, and Chris is making sure the ship is clean and sparkly for what he thinks will be its last rodeo. Suddenly, you see a figure float in from the darkness of the void. A 20-foot tall, humanoid creature, with a featureless form. It looks like it once sparkled with the light of a dying star, but now it only gives off a dim glow as the shadow of the nearest planet to the star falls over the asteroid. Memphis jumps at the startling sight of the creature wrapping its arms around the hurdling rock, creating some flame in his palm, but Xuan pushes his arm down as she sees Carman slowly walking up to the creature's head. They place a hand on the ridge of its nose, closing their eyes, and wait for a moment, before turning around, "Xuan, it wants to save us," They spoke calmly. Xuan raised an eyebrow, "But what does it want in return?" She stood up. Carman got on their knees in the center of the group, "It doesn't want anything. It only needs a little bit of energy in its system,"
The rest of the group gathers around the wizard, who began chanting something shakily, stumbling over a few words. But the ritual must have worked as the creature began shining again. It put its feet down on the tiny planet below, reaching its arm back in a wind-up. It launched the astroid forward at high speeds, causing it to fly past the moon of another planet of this system. The creature faded to grey in the distance. A strange whirring noise was heard and the captain called out from inside of the ship, "SYSTEMS ARE BACK ONLINE!"
The group all stood up and cheered, except for Carman, who turned back around and gave a motion of thanks. Maybe the crew was more than a band of rowdy adventurers. Maybe they were more important than that
