This is the result of too much Boston in one month. It was written to be an homage to the Rock of the 70’s, with bass lines that lean into prog rock with their complexity. This style of playing, where the bass is not only supporting but leading as well, laid the foundation for my career. The name “Syndicate Driven” is directly ripped off from the first “band” my friends and I tried to form called Syndicate Drive. We were going to make it big, but we never got past writing the lyrics for our first song (writer’s block is a pain lol). Sadly, one of the members passed away this year, so this song is named so for Sean, who loved all 70’s rock, and was the best friend anyone could have. May he shred in peace.
