Wind carries the skies far away

A sad, yet hopeful piece, Reportedly written in 1943, but most famously recorded by the band Emberek in 2014. It tells a tale of a fighter pilot separated from his love by war. in the song, he wonders if he will ever see her again, but is also reassured by the fact that the same sky connects them. Personally I have always found this ironic, as being a fighter pilot, the sky is where he is likely to be killed.
