hello.
Things have been... different since I have moved away from my hometown.
OKAY, I get it. I am getting on the wrong foot here by talking about personal blabber. However, it should be mentioned that I am still trying to settle in. If you have not noticed, my profile is in shambles. I have greyed from my former "Red" self, and a select few of my posts have also been removed from the public profile.
Due to the above events, my willpower to make music was greatly hindered, especially in the first few days of being in the new house with *everything* going wrong. However, that is when I accidentally stumbled across this competition piece. I always knew about these small little competitions cropping up here and there, and I had the morbid drive to "ruin" them by entering them. Of course, reason gets the better of these heinous actions, and I turn a blind eye. I want to ensure the less experienced composers on this site can have a damned chance. This competition, well, became an exception.
Right at the gate this one
@krj actually made something for the competition. Unfortunately, his score has since been removed. :(
Then my brain told me, "Where the actual fork is the medieval vibe to this?"
So I was off to the races. I began researching on the common instruments used for a medieval-esque piece... and then I tore off only that page and threw the rest of the "Medieval Music 101" book into the trash, as per usual when it comes to making anything on Flat. The result? This half-metal half-medieval monster using some of the most sharpest toned instruments in Flat, with of course a RedProductions patented sad.mp3 outro. I used them quite well together in my opinion.
So. Yeah. Enjoy.
The fourth installment of Katarkaros will be coming soon...
