The Threshold (Iyan Sandahl & Michael Williams)

So, if anyone was wondering why I have been absent on Flat for so long, and very little was actually published, it was because of two main reasons. The first was that I was busy with many other things. The second is this masterpiece you see before you. This was a collaborative project that Michael Williams and I undertook sometime around the end of last year. It has taken two thirds of a year to complete. The main melody of the piece was my idea, but Michael Williams has helped me really make this piece a masterpiece, with his amazing sub-melodies and bass section and other accompaniments. The basic idea of the piece is to combine classic and contemporary elements into one piece. Together, we wrote our own melody sections and perfected each others’. This piece has undergone frequent and detailed review by both of us, and we are now both satisfied. We hope you enjoy the Threshold.
