Scherzo for Solo Piano in F-sharp major, Op. 56

This song describes the happening of a silly jester being cast under a spell where he annoys the king and queen so severely at the dinner table that they scream like little girls. The spell wears off abruptly, and the king and queen are so exhausted that they tell him to go home and stay there for a few days (to go see his beautiful, hard-working wife). The jester goes home, and the king and queen go to their room for the evening to sleep. Everyone there around the diner table is both confused and disturbed, and the prince and princess are forced to take the role of king and queen as their parents sleep in their different rooms for the evening (until tomorrow, when the king and queen take back control).
