A story of a man. He made music in his youth, but his life became racked with turmoil. He held on to a melody until one day he has a stroke. He attempts to relive his glory days with his first melody, but the weight of his situation sets in. He is left with the realization that he is dying, and he attempts to right the wrongs of his life by resolving every major and minor thing he can. On his death bed, he finds minor peace. The end of his life is represented by a reprise of his first melody's end. The piece is primarily written in G minor and ends on an F- the seventh in G minor, the leading tone. Because some lives are never resolved.
