One of my favorite Meatloaf songs, and a project I have spent a considerable amount of time on. Released in 1977 off the album "Bat Out of Hell", Paradise by the Dashboard Light is a true Meatloaf rock opera. With heavy hitting melodies, sweet soaring harmonies, it lends itself to a great performance piece. Even with the numerous tempo alterations, and a couple key changes, it still is not insanely difficult. The keys in the arrangement are concert C, concert E flat, and concert B flat, all very comfortable keys for most high school bands. Specific part notes: The lead trumpet part does have some ledger lines to read in a few locations, as does lead tenor. The chords written in on the piano part may not be entirely correct, and I may have missed a couple when I was putting them in. With only a few exceptions, the vibraphone part strictly carries the melody, regardless of what other instrument is playing the melody line as well. Generally speaking, the drum part is all about just keeping time, so have some fun with it.
