Hey all! I want to share some pieces I composed after I composed my 150th composition and 80-follower special (they are the same song). I feel a bad not composing anything around a month, and I would like to share some of my music for you all I've made after my follower special. Part of the reason is I don't like keeping people waiting for a long time.
Anyway, this piece I crafted was a florana (forlane) for string quartet. A forlana (forlane) is an Italian folk dance, and it was popular in Bach's time. A good example of a forlana is the fouth movement of Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 1 in C major, BWV 1066. It's a very festive piece, and I recommend checking it out!
I tried capturing that same feeling in this song, and there are moments where it's soft and loud. Bach did his forlane in 6/4, where I did mine in 6/8. Generally, you do a forlane in duple compound meter, 6/8, or 12/8 (which is okay). Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my piece, and there will be more in the future! Have a wonderful and blessed day, everyone, and see ya!
