Amongst his many longer Preludes, Chopin also wrote some shorter Preludes pieces that portrayed a simple, brief, yet powerful musical concept.
This piece represents that genre of short yet powerful Preludes. It is a boisterous progression through a series of chords, first over the E octave and then the A octave, going back to the E.
