This is my take on the song "Reminiscing You" by Bezakos, a fellow composer here on Flat, yes, I have gotten his permission.
Since I don't wanna "copy" too much of Bezako's work, I made this an "Acoustic" (but not really) cover. - acoustic in the sense of instrumentation - not really acoustic in the sense of how I used the instruments.
I upped the key to D minor cuz I thought it was more in my range, but I really should've upped it higher - More like E minor. I gave the piano and guitar contrasting feels, and used them sparingly (except the Instrumental) to give more focus to the voice like an acoustic song would be.
I then took a break cuz school ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The recording and mixing part are the most difficult (especially for vocals). This is my first time mixing acoustic vocals, so I hope this turned out well!
Now for the instrumental, I tried to compose in a way that imitates "shredding" on the electric guitar, BUT on an Acoustic guitar (plus phaser effects, delays, etc.)
Hope you all enjoy this cover! And for Bezakos...
"I don't know if you would like to collab with me...?" ;)
