Boredom at a piano, accidentally using an old compositions basic melody (it derived from my Elementally Themed composition entitled Ignis), and throwing lyrics into it led to this thing. I designed it for my vocal range, but it can be slid up for anyone else's (ideally not down, considering I am a bass; I could take it down another octave if I wanted but it doesn't sound quite right). The voice is supposed to sit between the left chords and right melody, so it's an octave lower than the piano playing melody. The voice at the end would be falsetto pitches ideally, and are completely optional. It's just an extra little bit if you want to. The hit at the end is why it's designed for musical theatre; it's to avoid what's called an "applause killer," and leave a distinct end to the song. This can be done by a power chord, an arpeggio, or a hit. Considering I'd just come off of a long held note, I decided to go for the hit. Without such a detail, the audience doesn't know the song is actually over (especially if the sound of the chord has died) until suddenly the scene has moved on. Hope yall enjoy!
