Lights Out Samba (November 2022 Challenge WINNER)
(A Samba Extravaganza to Make You Dance)
Storyline: Rico and his friends are having a party down in Brazil. The evening starts slow with Bossa Nova and Rhumba filling the air.
All of a sudden the lights go out and no one can see, and the music is gone. What will we do?
Rico suddenly remembers he has some candles and a few instruments. Rico and his buddies Carlos, Joao, Esteban, and others pick up the instruments. Astrud starts the beat, and the others begin to join. Antonio jumps on the piano and begins a sick riff. Not to be outdone, Fernando picks up the piccolo and begins to throw down notes like you wouldn't believe. Rico also throws down some massive riffs on the snare and toms.
The lights come back on, but no one wants to stop. Lights Out Samba can be kind of fun!!
This is my November 2022 challenge piece. Coincidentally, this weekend is the Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix, a major motivation for finishing this piece.
