I took the test and got a butterfly as my result, which admittedly I was not expecting. I wrote for piano, it felt matched the elegance of the butterfly, and added to the simple, yet free flowing nature of the butterfly.
I really wanted to bring out the idea of change, renewal, and rebirth, and I believe I did well in bringing out that idea throughout the piece, especially within the more stable and rhythmic lower chords, while the upper, more playful register remains carefree.
I also wanted to write in 6/4, I originally wrote it in 12/4, but I felt 6/4 was overall a much better choice. Good luck to everyone who joins the challenge, I found this one really fun!
