A three minute intermediate exercise in C major for solo piano in a fairly baroque style, with influences of Vivaldi, Bach, Handel, Beethoven, and Mozart. It features peculiar finger movements, often with the 1st and 5th fingers far apart and middle fingers close, as well as longer scales alternating up and down. It is fast, energetic, and passionate, a continuous stream of allegro sixteenth notes. In structure we have a main C major theme which develops to tonicize a middle A minor version of the theme, which then moves to a long dominant pedal G major version bringing us home to tonicize C major once more.
