Our Age | July Challenge | Legends Competition

For the July Challenge, the theme was Hope-- that light shining forth in the darkest of times.

(I also just discovered that this song could fit the round 1 criteria for the 2023 Legends Competition, as my inspiration for writing this song was the thought of springtime and renewal-- so I will be 'recycling' this song into my submission for that challenge)

The world is a chaotic place; so many different beliefs, parties, and opinions with which to turn one against another. But for everybody, there is always something keeping these nightmares in check: for me, music, religion, and friendship are what keep me going. For somebody else, it could be love and freedom, or personal time, or wherever else they might find peace. This song was created as a sort of embodiment for the hope and restoration of springtime, and for those lights that keep us going through such tumultuous times; even though there may be imperfections in this world, we are always surrounded by our own potential, and the potential of our age.
