Alright this is my first publish in a year probably. My orginal account ran out of premium so now i can't publish there because there's score limit and i'm like 10 times over it.
Anyways, here's my entry to the May competition, i've enjoyed making this as it reflects a very popular and known genre of music, "spanish music". This kind of music is based on the phrygian scale and in this case i've specifically used the flamenco scale, which adds a major third to the scale.
I haven't had time to write syllable by syllable the lyrics, but i've got the poem. It's an excerpt of the book "Romancero Gitano" by Federico García Lorca, more specifically the chapter "Romance de la Guardia Civil española". I recommend you all to read this romancero, maybe you find a version translated in your own language. This specific excerpt talks about the raids the police did upon the gypsy villages back in the first half of the 20th century.
Without further ado, here's the excerpt and enjoy the piece!
¿Quién te vió y no te recuerda?
