So sorry I haven’t been posting much recently! :(
I’ve been sick, and junior year is coming to a close; meaning that there’s a crazy amount of tests and my effort going towards THAT.
I wrote this in one night, wanting to get something out there for you guys : )
But then I kind of fell in love with the piece. It’s my first choir-only piece I’ve ever written, and for my first, I think it sounds good! Please give tips though. I tried to make it possible to perform (with dotted half notes and the breath marks) and I also still want to get better at writing for choir.
Also, I know a lot of my pieces are rather short, and to counteract that in this piece, I added measures between bars 18 and 27. I know that’s not too much, but it’s 20 seconds longer than it would’ve been originally, and it builds more tension this way!
