Marcato's (Prof. P) 2023 Competition Entry [Round III]
An Adventure of the windy seas. An Adventure of internal stresses. An Adventure that changes the story.
Wow. @marcato you have created a monster of a round. I commend the difficulty and creativity required to succeed in this round, but express self-pity to how I nearly failed. From start to finish, this piece has stressed me out. With every idea comes a Ctrl+A+Delete to rend the idea from existence. Originally, I wanted to create Bardcore, but it was an idea that left me shortsighted and frustrated.
It was only the people of whom the story revolves around keeping me from quitting entirely. One observes that the limited instrumentation sounds like music from Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, which is the heavy inspiration of this piece. Another has kept me aware that I don't need to join every competition to enjoy composing. And one, without fail, said, "I know you can do it" even when I thought I could not.
This is the result of this adventure. I followed the assignment. I shall await the results.
