Friendly Competition

It's been a minute since I have posted. Just recently moved into my new apartment and started college. Been figuring out how to do college, but I am getting the hang out of it. Anyway, enjoy.


This would be the first real scene of the story. We meet the main character, Raymond, and the love interest of the story, Annora. However, she is not the love interest quite yet.

The scene opens with them in their village, Sun's Valley, and they decide they want to have a little competition. They both take pleasure in training bow combat, even though there has not been any battles here for centuries.

They begin to prepare for their competition, and on a countdown, they are off! They are running through the forest shooting one target after the next. A bullseye! On to the next one!

WAIT!

One of the townsfolk, Wilkin happened to be in the course they set up. "Carry on," he said as he quickly left the course.

They continue on hitting target after target. As they near the end of the course they are still neck and neck and begin to run faster and faster. They are closing in on the last target and they both shoot. A bullseye for Annora, and just outside for Raymond.

[After the music stops]

"Oooo! looks like someone needs to hit the training grounds," Annora says to Raymond.

"I know I know. Good job I guess," he said in a sarcastic, but playful tone.
