Pokémon is a game that practically everyone knows. It follows you, the protagonist, on your Pokémon adventure, where you can catch plenty of critters with different types like fire, rock, and fairy, and you aim to become the champion of the region by participating in the gym challenge; 8 gyms, all specializing in a certain Pokémon type, then, you battle the champion of the region.
Pokémon, at least for me, has always been the type of game where you can embody yourself in another world, I'd be the type of Pokémon trainer who would spend hours hanging out with my beloved Pokémon, whether out in the wilds or in towns. I'd also be battle ready at all times! I chose to be represented by the electric guitar lead, which I felt fit the energy of myself if I were in the game; always looking for the next challenge to face, and unafraid to back down, mainly because I wouldn't know when to quit. I'd also be the type who would also be a bit too talkative before and after a fight.
My first Pokémon game was Pokémon Sapphire, and I played it early freshman year of high school, I later bought Pokémon shield for the switch, and it served as one of my comfort games during quarantine since I would hunt for shiny Pokémon while doing online school. Now, I regrettably can't play video games all the time with classes, so when I'm really exhausted, I boot up Pokémon Violet and shiny hunt via the mass outbreaks. Of course, the game has its flaws, but I get so much joy out of being able to experience the world of Pokémon, not to mention that the music for every Pokémon game is phenomenal. I took most inspiration from the battle themes from the recent titles, where it would have this rock element to it, making use of synths, electric guitars, and differing instruments depending on who the player would be battling. I had a lot of fun writing this, and while alterations within the next few days are necessary, I'm proud to have finished this in time for the challenge!
