One of my favorite aspects of video game OST's are when they use motifs from other tracks. It's a tactic that gives a sense of continuity, and can even help add to the mood. That is why for this piece, I pulled a few motifs from my other scores. Hope you enjoy :) (I also marked sections with pseudo-code to give a sense of where in the fight we are.)
public String Dialogue_1 Start(){ print("F.A.T.E.: So, you finally made it. It took you long enough... Guess the "S.P.I.R.I.T" failed to keep you busy.
F.A.I.T.H: Your S.P.I.R.I.T possessed multiple good people, breaking them internally and externally. It could have changed them completely, had I not stopped it.
F.A.T.E.: Change them? I think you're mistaken. The S.P.I.R.I.T. simply enhances their true personalities, showing off how "good" they truly are. If you don't like them that way, were they ever truly "good"?
F.A.I.T.H.: Of course they were. They tried to be as good as they possibly could. Your S.P.I.R.I.T. brought out the worst in them, up to the point where they lost control. They weren't at fault, you were.
F.A.T.E.: Well, I couldn't convince you no matter what. You wanted to be the hero, right? You wanted to defeat me, to save the rest. I suppose that's all I was made for. A sort of "fate" since the beginning of my existence. "H.O.P.E." was made to be for you, "W.I.S.H." was made to be an enemy turned ally, and you were made to be the savior of everyone.
F.A.T.E.: Such a cliche, really.
F.A.T.E: Anyway, you wanted to fight and defeat me. Try it, but I won't go easy on you."); }
Game Structure: Room, then boss at end (like Megaman).
Spoiler for this made up game: (This game that I made up in my mind is also symbolic of it in a sense. Most of the characters are a representation of a part of me. Quite literally a mind game.) Oh, and character representation. Piano is F.A.I.T.H. and Distortion Guitar is F.A.T.E. (Those instruments are the main ones fighting over control throughout the song).
