Beyond the Coffee Shop | September Challenge
~Jazzy and Shnazzy and NOT part of the numbered series~
Heyo! This is Beyond the Coffee Shop, my submission to the September Challenge.
This piece is the main theme to Beyond the Coffee Shop, a game that *CURRENTLY* does not exist. It follows our protagonist as she adventures through a colorful platformer-style landscape on a quest to find the best coffee beans, and maybe learn a little more about herself in the process. She is represented by the flute, as it is a bright-sounding instrument but is quirky and uncommon in jazz settings such as this one.
I chose to write this piece in a jazzier style mainly because coffee shops always have soft jazz playing in the background. However, this song takes on a louder, more vibrant feel (intentionally!) as I wanted to compose something that more fitted my main character's cheerful and up-tempo personality.
