"Please, no! Makino... please. Makino! PLEASE! Wake up... wake up..." "wake up... Wake up. WAKE UP. OH MY LEAF KHARI WAKE UP" Akima calls my name. I open my eyes. It takes me a couple seconds to adjust to my surroundings. I'm in a clearing, with sunlight streaming out of the canopy. I also somehow have my root mat with me. A very annoyed Akima is also hovering over me. "Akima! How long have I been asleep for? More importantly, how did I get here?" "Far too long. You were due to wake up hours ago." she replies, annoyed as always. "And you stumbled over here after that party last night. I knew letting you have too many berries was a bad idea." That made a lot of sense, the berry thing. I tend to sugar crash HARD. But what about the time thing? I normally wake up at the same time, and she teases me all the same. However, just for fun, I decided to ask her in the most annoying way possible. "Oh? And why hours ago, dear sweet Akima?" I said, trying to tick her off. "Because a good forest nymph wakes up before the sun. We gain a lot of energy that way." she scoffed, clearly unfazed. "Reeeeally? We can't just survive off of berries?" I said sarcastically. Even the smallest of nymphs know that. She lost her temper and kicked my mat. "OH JUST GET UP!" I wriggled around on my root mat and tried my best to hold in my laughter. "It's too early." Akima picked me up and shook me. "Do it or you're getting less sunlight today." I gasped overdramatically. Akima had threatened this many times before, and every time she never put it into action. We called this Akima's Sunlight rule. Daku entered the clearing, his eyes full of worry. "Please do not threaten that, dear Akima. I hope you understand Khari needs their sunlight." He didn't quite understand the rule of Akima's Sunlight yet. "Quiet, soft one." Akima ordered. "They can handle less sunlight." "I'm awake, Akima. I'm awake." I said. "Prove it." she says, clearly not impressed. rest is in the comments along with rest of desc
