This is my best piece yet. It is better written than any piece I have composed thus far. I can barely comprehend how good it is, it's hard to believe I actually made this. Nothing else I've made can compare. Not only does this sound amazing, it was also extremely fun to make, more than my usual pieces.
You may have noticed I haven't published an actual piece in a while. This is because of two reasons: One, schoolwork. And two, a massive composers block. For this past week, I've had the biggest block I've had yet. But, I was able to compose this masterpiece (in my opinion) after a long break. It always seems you do the best composing after a long break. Anyways, information about the piece!
I decided to name this piece "Crimson Sorrow", not only because of it's intense, minor sound, but also the inspiration behind this piece. I based this piece off of gladiators, fighters, warriors, and anyone else who took part in massive bloodshed. It represents how horrible war can be, and is a tribute to those who have been killed and or suffered due to war. As for the instrumentation in this piece, I took a bit of inspiration from a few other pieces. Avatar (not the movie or the show), Spartacus, and Mythos. They are both amazing pieces, and I highly recommend you check them out. I will provide the links to them at the bottom of the comments.
This is another piece that I am hoping to play in my orchestra class. It probably won't be any time soon, as it is much more difficult than my other recent orchestra piece, "A Vast Journey". But I'm still hoping to play it. Also, if you want to download/print this, I'd suggest you wait a bit, because soon I will publish a version of this with bowing, fingerings, bow lifts, and all that. I will also change the dynamics to what they should be (Flat is weird with changing dynamics, for example if a note has staccato it will be quieter). This version should come soon.
