Hello, this is my October Challenge Submission. So here’s the story behind this song.
So, basically, every Halloween night, one person in my neighborhood goes up her tree in her front yard and gives out candy to little kids. She has been doing this long before I was born. I’ve gotten candy from her only once or twice because when Halloween is at its height, the line to get candy from her stretches down the entire block, and the wait is something like 20 minutes when it’s in full swing. So one day I was walking around the neighborhood and I saw that she had a sign out front saying something along the lines of “No tree this year but still candy!” Keep in mind that she’s about 80 something years old (guessed), so I was sad to see her not be up in the tree this year, so I made this song in honor of her, so this song is basically supposed to represent a bunch of witches flying from tree to tree, throwing candy down to the kids below them.
Also, thanks to the drummer with 3 bass pedals, and to the bari sax, who has one of the best solos I’ve ever written.
P.S. Flat, please let me win. This is the first monthly challenge I’ve done, so yeah.
Thanks, Clark Durant
