In the autumn of 1987, the daughter of the Zo family mysteriously disappeared. The parents of the daughter were distraught, and eventually moved away to forget this place. The manor was never bought, due to the incident, and was just left there, all alone. Every Halloween, it became a tradition to dare one of the kids while trick or treating to walk up to the manor, and knock three times on the door. The door opened on its own, and the unlucky kid entered. None have been heard ever since. And now, it was our unnamed protagonist's turn...
Actual Description: Here's a piece with as much effort put into it to make up for last year's lack of a submission. It combines the Nocturne style with some Waltz and other classical styles while being modernized with my techniques and sound effects. Now then, there are two things I would like to address.
Firstly, there are more techniques than actual instruments. I felt like I've been holding back on these challenges. Sure, the songs were decent, but only using the thunder and atmosphere synths at most didn't really represent myself as a technician composer.
Secondly, there aren't any premium instruments. The original reason I wanted to submit was for one year of premium. However, I realized that premium wasn't a necessity when I started to make technique filled songs. At that point, I wanted to win just so a non-premium user could win. However, non-premium users have already won, so that goal is already pointless. So, why exactly am I still here? To put it simply, I'll be trying to win without any premium instruments. The last few submissions relied heavily on premium instruments (HQ drums, Distortion Guitar, e.t.c.). I wanted to see how far I could push the limits of flat while being limited to the non-premium instruments. Here is the result of my self-challenge. Hope you enjoy.
