Hey all! I want to say thank you for listening and for 1500 followers! I am so grateful for this community :D
Infi message:
Not a year ago, a friend introduced me to Flat. I mainly composed there for its easy-to-use editor and its features. Along the way, though, I found a magnificent community with composers coming from all walks of life, all of them with the desire to express themselves through music, communicate with others, and explore a variety of genres and styles. Of course, there were people who I saw on the leaderboard that day, and I expressed a desire to be just like them in their musical talents and their style, but mostly in their popularity. So I composed music very rigorously, making one piece a day, trying to make good-quality pieces while trying to imitate the styles and techniques of composers I looked up to while trying to garner popularity in order for people to listen to my pieces. This stage of composing took about 5 months of my Flat experience.
But then along the way you realize something. Composing on Flat (and in general) isn't about popularity, who has the most followers, or how many styles you can imitate in one piece. In some point of your career you have to question the authenticity of your pieces and if these pieces express who *you* are, your hopes, and your ambitions. It doesn't matter how many people want to listen to your pieces or if the style you hail to isn't popular or recognizable. This is about expressing *your* style and *your* emotions. Just compose with your heart, and the recognition will come to you.
A special thanks to
@groovy for inviting me to this collaboration. In less than a week my one-year anniversary will arrive, and I really hope this next year will be better than 2023. This one year of Flat has been truly amazing, and really upped my confidence compared to when I started. But enough rambling about me, lol. Congratulations to
@groovy for 1,500 followers! Tell us which measures of the collab you like the most!
