Hello everyone!!! Happy new year <3
Today you'll notice something rather unusual from me. I'm publishing for the second time in less than a week. Well, I recently decided to participate in the annual event hosted by
@red_productions called "Secret Santa".
The theme of the event is: Each participant is someone else's Secret Santa. As a secret santa, you have a recipient. The recipient will choose a number of their own compositions and will ask you to either make an arrangement of them or imitate them. The Secret Santa, as the title suggests, must not be revealed to the recipient until the event is over (December 31st all submissions must be published, which will reveal who got who). You might ask... "aren't you two days too late?". Damn straight, lol. I kinda procrastinated a lot. Red was kind enough to allow a buffer period of 2 days. So, that allowed me enough time to refine my submission... which I had whipped up on December 31st in 4 hours. LOL
Without much else to say, my recipient is: Jamesmusic (
@james_lawrence1). Thankfully he gave me both options. I chose arrangement cause it was easier to be done in that little amount of time. He also had selected an easy set of 2 pieces to arrange which helped me immensely. I am really grateful for that. This was absolutely fun to make. Unfortunately, it will sound weird. And that's cause the Flat strings are very flawed. Later this year I will revisit to make this better. Until then, this is what we got guys.
Lastly, my secret santa was Redstonecat (
@a_red_cat_lol). His arrangement was (speechless)... well see for youself:
https://flat.io/score/656fb3189218735cd0d23fa7-the-struggle-to-jazz-stardom. I don't think my submission is even half of half as good as his. I've never been made happier by an arrangement before.
That's all from me. Thank you so much for an amazing 2023. I hope this year, 2024, will be even better. It probably won't, but it won't hurt to be positive. I hope you enjoy <3
