Love can feel like a fantasy at times, but is it? Sometimes, love can get in the way of chasing a dream or even the other way around, and sometimes you have to make a very difficult choice because of this...

La La Land is my absolute favorite movie of all time. From the stunning soundtrack to the flawless camera work and even the incorporation of expert-level color theory, the film is a masterpiece! I’ve always loved it when directors go over the top, ridiculousness is something I favor greatly (which is why I love the concept of musicals so much).
With brilliant storytelling and a beautiful blend of fantasy and reality, La La Land is perfection at its finest! Though, please be careful, you may cry after watching it

Back in early January of this year, I noticed a score with "Legends Comp 2024" in the title as I was browsing the community tab within Flat.
Before I released my first score, I had been working on several pieces for a year beforehand. Bouncing from one project to another, making tiny adjustments, I'd hardly made any progress where there were no constraints nor due dates to keep me in check. When I joined Flat's October competition in 2023, I unwittingly learned something valuable. With pressure, I'd be forced to learn. To make my first public score, I researched new styles of music, found artists with the "vibe" I wanted to include in my piece, and drew inspiration from them. In the end, I came out of that contest a better composer. Since then, I've joined almost every major competition I could find via Flat and Discord with the intent to learn and grow as a composer. Nowadays, instead of looking over my unfinished scores, I can finally say, "Wow, I *made* something!"
By entering this competition, not only do I hope to push myself, but I also wish to grow from this
