The Beauty of the Universe

When the world started...
There was
Chaos abroad
But alas,
The beauty of the universe unfolds!
It's wonderful marvels
The sights!
The stars, the planets, the formation of galaxies!
What a gift to be able to travel through space
The galaxy has so many adventures in store
And as everything forms into place
Many changes are to come
But the beauty is everlasting

That's my "commentary" of how the universe came along and how it fits in with my music. The world is full of mysteries, so it starts out mysterious but it's so wonderful and amazing which the switch to major should capture. The more upbeat part is the adventures this particle went on to help form the universe and represents how magnificent it all is. When the starting motif is brought back at the end it symbolizes how even though the world has/will change so much, it's the same beautiful world it was before.

I really enjoyed this one, especially since it marks the 1 year anniversary from my very first participation in the monthly challenges. I can't believe how much I've grown since then. I did a little throwback to this at m. 27 ^^

Also I made this in one morning over the span of roughly 4 hours because I was hyperfocused and had an idea (the start) 🥲

Honestly at first I was skeptical that I would be able to pull off having a drumset in my score but then I had the idea to add the guitar and it all came together! I was also kind of obsessed with the ride cymbal roll and then the china cymbal but I mean, it sounds cool!


Does the low note at m. 33 give anyone else the chills?
