Hi everyone! You may or may not know me, some call me the “Anime man”, others call me the “Piano guy”, most call me “KRJ” (though I’ve changed it to just RJ now), but for those who just met me, hi! I’m RJ.
A little about myself for those who just met me, I was the one of the first (or I hope so) to make Jpop music here on Flat. A movie named “Your Name” (君の名は) inspired me to make some Jpop music.
I’ve been absent from Flat for almost a year now, and most of my projects are currently based in DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations), which means I’m fiddling with audio instead of notation. Basically, a music producer, hopefully getting my music on radios and shows across the world.
What doesn’t get said about a lot is Flat's community. The biggest advantage Flat has over any other notation software: A warm, loving house of music. The best part is when people gather around and share what they’ve written, loving it or not, they express delight since it’s fundamentally still music. I’ve met so many amazing composers here, even some music producers too. They’ve shaped the way I perceive music and even how I compose sometimes.
I never thought I would see this day come, and it pains me to say that
I’m officially graduating from Flat.

School life is getting me very strained. I’m going on Internships, doing final year portfolios and overall heading for another milestone, but I’ll never forget the path I once humbly treaded. This community has been my “musical” home since 2019, and it pains me to have to leave. We all know, one day all of us would have to leave, and it just so happens to be my day.
