We did reach it 2 months ago, but this song took most of that time to make. Not entirely because of burnout, I had some ideas that I would write down every now and then.
However, prior to last week, I couldn’t fit the pieces together. 6 months went by, and I could only write down some unfinished melodies every 2 weeks or so.
But are these rough times worth it? 5 songs in half a year?
More than enough.
It wasn’t my goal to reach 100 followers on Flat, it was just a smaller road that will eventually merge into the main road of becoming a great(not necessarily known) composer in the future, whether that will be in 1 year or 10 years.
There is still a great distance to cover in the endless, jagged road.
Flat is a simple, yet effective composing software that I have, and will use.
Rough times now mean good times ahead. So why stop in the middle of the road, when you have a full tank left?
Regardless of when you run low, enjoy this seven minute, forty-two second song that I dedicate to you.
Song Notes:
I decided to compose this one as a piano solo for 2 reasons: 1. It may be possible to play 2. Piano is the main instrument that I have used over the years
For some reason, some of the melodies I used sound familiar, and I am not sure whether or not they are actually original.
There are no specific “sections” within this song. I want you to hear what you want to hear from it. I want you to get what you want to get from it.
For me, it’s a memory of the distance already covered, and a reminder of the distance to go.
Forged by the many arbitrary ideas that were welded into one scrap piece of priceless treasure.
