The moon and sun once lived in unity… The sun brought day and the moon blanketed the sky with night.
However, the moon seeked the sun’s power. Why must the sun control the realms of the earth? And so… the moon slowly soaked in the sun’s holiness, gradually becoming drunk off of his power. Greedily, she overtakes both day and night. The stars dare not speak a thing to the sun, following her in fear, as their light dimmed amongst her presence.
The sun took notice, why must she be present in both day and night? So they battled… and the moon consumed the sun. Earth believed a mere dragon or a lion ate the warmth their god once blessed them…
The sun fell to earth, leaving the moon to control day and night. Since then, the sun lives as man, exiled into the deserts. Why must the night take away our water? Thought the sun. Why is the wind cruel? Why does she bless everyone but my own kind?
And so, the sun yearns for the moon’s power, a power once his. He covets the wind, he seeks to take the moon’s light for his own, curse the world into eternal twilight… His plan almost always succeeds… until the moon sends her knight…
